Walking along the aisle of a local drugstore, a woman most likely would find herself in the beauty aisle looking for something new to add to her care regimen, or for some selective product to replace what’s almost depleted in her bathroom cabinet. In the store aisle most of the top-selling items boast of age fighting, acne preventing, and blemish decreasing agents that will leave skin looking beautiful and feeling lush. Many of these same products have listed an ingredient in its contents that is an ageless and centuries old healer. Coupled with a few of the other elements ending in -oxide and -olin, the vitamins and minerals found in Aloe Vera make those top-selling brands very, very popular, trusted and efficient. But does it really need any help from other created ingredients to be an awesome “all-around” skin care product. No, it doesn’t.
The all natural vitamins and minerals working in this herbal giant start at its ooey gooey center where a clear gelatin-like slime is enveloped in its hard green outer shell. The inner, transparent “meat ” of the nutrient-rich wonder plant holds its actual healing properties. Experts and scientist have found that the amazing clear ooze within the Aloe Vera plant contains numerous vitamins and minerals, minerals and amino acids. Within its flesh are Vitamins A, C, E, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, Cholin, and Folic Acid. The Vitamins A, C, E and B12 are needs in skin repair and rehydration. It also contains Beta Carotene which acts as a renewing agent, replenishing the skin’s natural tone and texture.
The plant, in its natural form, also contains the hormone Giberellin, which is known for its skin rebuilding properties that assist in skin cell reformation and the replacing of time stricken, environmental damages to the skin, i.e. wrinkles, dark marks, blemishes, cracks and sunburns. The minerals within the gel of the plant also act as an Astringent, fighting away skin cell flare ups, clogged pores, bacterial attacks, cysts and acne. Just wash you face carefully as usual, apply a thin, quick-drying layer of the transparent gel like any other over-the-counter toner or lotion and continue with the rest of you beauty regimen. Wow, all this from a plant that you can grow in the backyard or in a window box! Still, these are only the minimal outside uses of the Aloe Vera plant. It can come in handy as many forms of remedies in our medicine cabinets. But as an all-around skin care day cream, it can’t be beat, so grow some today!
